The 4-star Hotel Duca d’Alba in Rome is located in one of the oldest areas of Rome, “Suburra” (now known as Rione Monti), only 400 meters from the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, 300 meters from the Colosseum and the Roman Forums, and 100 meters from the Basilica of Saint Peter in Chains (statue “Moses” by Michelangelo). The Domus Aurea, Piazza Venezia, and the Capitoline Hill are a few minutes’ walk away, while Piazza di Spagna, Trevi Fountain, and Piazza del Popolo are easily reachable by public transport.

If you choose to arrive in Rome with your own private vehicle, our property is located inside the ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone) of the historic center.

How to reach us by train:
All trains coming from the most important Italian cities (Milan, Naples, Venice, and Florence) stop and depart from Rome’s main station, Termini. The Hotel Duca d'Alba Rome is 1 km from the station and can be reached on foot or by public transport: taxi, bus no. 75 towards Poerio/Marino (departure from Piazza dei Cinquecento, get off at the stop Cavour/Annibaldi), or metro line B towards Laurentina (get off at Cavour stop, from which Hotel Duca d'Alba Rome is 100 meters away).

Taxi or limousine: It is recommended to use only authorized taxis (white cars with taximeter) available outside the arrivals area of the terminals. The indicative fare for a ride to Rome city center is about €55.00. Supplements are expected for luggage, night and holiday rides. Average duration of the trip: 45 minutes; distance: 32 km.
Public transport: Direct train Leonardo Express from Fiumicino airport to Rome Termini railway station (every day, every half hour, duration about 35 minutes; cost €14.00) + Metro line B to Cavour (one stop). Alternatively, it is possible to take from Fiumicino the regional train (cost €8.00) and get off at Ostiense station + Metro line B to Cavour (three stops).
